Searching the Bulloch County Court Docket
Most people chasing a Bulloch County court docket start in the wrong place. The Georgia E-Access directory routes Bulloch Superior and State Court searches into PeachCourt. It points you to the right door. It is not one giant statewide search box. Felonies and major civil cases live in Superior Court. State Court handles misdemeanors, State civil matters, and most county traffic citations. Estates, small claims, city citations, and youth cases run through separate channels entirely.
Bring the exact court name plus a case or citation number. After account login, PeachCourt does allow a party-name search. A name alone can pull up strangers. It may also miss a lower-court file. A posted PDF calendar can verify a setting type and judge. It still is not the full docket.
- Read the summons, citation, or filing and identify the court.
- Open PeachCourt through Georgia E-Access for Bulloch Superior or State Court.
- Select Bulloch County and the correct court, then search by case number or party name.
- Compare settings with the county's posted calendar and confirm changes with the responsible office.
- Ask the clerk for a plain or certified copy when an official document is needed.
PeachCourt Access in Bulloch County
PeachCourt bundles e-filing and document access for both Bulloch Superior and State Court. Registration costs nothing. The public workflow, though, sits behind an account. Once logged in, the vendor's directions send you to Search, then Cases, then county, court, and either a case number or a party name. Know the difference here. The portal is not an anonymous county index, and its per-document charges do not mean the clerk charges you just to identify a case.
| Control | How it is used |
|---|---|
| Email and password | Required for the PeachCourt account login. |
| County | Select Bulloch County after entering the case-search workflow. |
| Court | Choose Bulloch Superior or Bulloch State. |
| Case number | Best precision when the complete local identifier is known. |
| Party name | An alternative when the case number is not available. |
For a certified Bulloch County record, the clerk still has the final word. PeachCourt's filed images, a free docket reference, and a clerk-certified copy are three different products with three different access rules.
The official E-Access route shows how Georgia steers a Bulloch search into the vendor system.

The directory tells you the destination. The local clerk still keeps the source record.
Inside a Bulloch County Court Docket
A Bulloch County court docket ties the case caption to its filings and court events. It also captures the outcome the clerk records. Public criminal calendars show something narrower, built for one specific setting. The 2026 PDFs carry a report date, a setting date and time, the judge, report and item numbers, attorney, count, case number, defendant, offense, and administrative identifiers. Those columns help staff run a session. They are not the complete filing history.
| Case Number | Calendar examples follow an observed YYYY-SU-CR-sequence-judge pattern; it is not a published universal rule. |
|---|---|
| Parties | The named participants or case caption used to identify the matter. |
| Docket Entries / Filings | Documents, orders, and events entered in sequence. |
| Hearing Settings | Date, time, setting type, and courtroom information when published. |
| Court & Judge | The court level and assigned judicial officer. |
| Disposition | The recorded result when the court has entered one. |
Bulloch County Calendar PDFs Are Not Dockets
The county calendar page sorts public PDFs by judge and setting type, covering calendar call, arraignments, bonds, motions, pleas, revocations, status settings, and jury selection. Each PDF is a snapshot built for one session. A case number and charge may appear. Missing are the filings, orders, and documents that fill out the case.
Use the right record: a calendar answers when and where a group of matters is set. The case docket answers what has been filed and entered over time.
PDFs carry a report date, so a copy saved early can miss a later reset. Confirm any date with the clerk or the State Court administrator before you rely on it, especially after a continuance request.
Courts That Keep Dockets in Bulloch County
Georgia runs six trial-court classes, and Bulloch County splits its records among them. Heather Banks McNeal's office holds Superior, State, and Juvenile files. Probate and Magistrate keep their own. Each of the four municipal courts answers to its city. Pick the wrong layer. You may get a clean zero even though a case sits elsewhere.
| Court | Docket Covers | Where to Search |
|---|---|---|
| Superior Court | Felonies, divorce, domestic relations, and major civil litigation | PeachCourt and county clerk |
| State Court | Misdemeanors, most county traffic, and State civil cases | PeachCourt, payment portal, and county clerk |
| Magistrate Court | Claims up to $15,000, dispossessory, garnishment, warrants, and bond matters | Magistrate counter or phone; eFileGA is for filing |
| Probate and Juvenile | Probate matters and protected youth cases | The separate court office or authorized clerk channel |
| Municipal Courts | City traffic, ordinance, animal-control, and authorized local violations | The individual city court |
The Bulloch County Felony and Misdemeanor Split
Level decides where a criminal docket lives. Superior Court holds the felonies. State Court holds misdemeanors and most county traffic matters, and both streams flow through the elected clerk's office and surface as Bulloch entries in Georgia E-Access. Their judges, settings, and case-number details do not swap.
Magistrate Court can handle warrants, probable-cause proceedings, and bond matters without ever becoming the final felony trial docket. A driver age 16 or younger with a traffic citation goes to Juvenile Court, per the clerk's local instructions. City police citations may stay with a Municipal Court. So read the court name on the paper before touching a portal.
Bulloch County sits in the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit and First Judicial District. Appeals can climb past the trial court to the Court of Appeals of Georgia or the Supreme Court of Georgia, depending on jurisdiction. An appellate search never replaces the local trial docket.
How to Find Bulloch County Court Dates and Settings
Your citation, summons, or notice is the first place a court date appears. For Superior criminal settings, check it against the county's current judge and category PDF. The calendar labels each setting type. A setting might be arraignment, motion, plea, revocation, status, jury selection, bond, or calendar call. Those are different procedural events. Not all of them mean trial.
Confirm any reset or continuance with the court that set it. The clerk's State Court instructions are clear that the clerk cannot reschedule a date. Those questions go to the State Court administrator at 912-764-8605 or statecourt@bullochcounty.net. For a fuller walk through the calendar channels and fields, see the complete Bulloch County court dates guide.
Judge Codes on a Bulloch County Docket
Superior criminal identifiers observed on Bulloch dockets combine a year, court and case-type segments, sequence information, and a judge assignment. The clerk lists Chief Judge Michael T. Muldrew with Judges Lovett Bennett Jr., Ronald K. Thompson, and Matthew K. Hube on the Superior bench. The calendar landing page groups files under these judges and setting categories.
- SU
- An observed Superior Court segment in inspected criminal calendar case numbers.
- CR
- An observed criminal case-type segment.
- Calendar call
- A scheduling and readiness event, not necessarily the trial itself.
- Arraignment
- A setting at which the charge and plea process are addressed.
- Revocation
- A setting concerning alleged noncompliance with an existing sentence or supervision.
That pattern helps when reading court records, but the county has never published it as a universal numbering rule. Keep every character from the court paper intact when asking staff to pull a file.
Public Access to Court Dockets
Georgia law leans toward openness. Yet a Bulloch County court docket still answers to court rules, statutes, sealing orders, and the Georgia Open Records Act all at once. A case appearing in a public index does not mean its filed images are public. Juvenile matters, sealed records, protected identifiers, and confidential filings can be withheld or redacted. Administrative county records travel a different request route than copies pulled from a court case file. Ask the clerk which track yours fits.
Key Rules:
Georgia Open Records Act - public agencies must respond to proper requests, subject to costs, exemptions, and lawful redaction.
Uniform Superior Court Rule 21 - court records are generally accessible unless law or a court order restricts them.
Georgia Rule 616-1-2-.06 - an accepted electronic record retains the same access status as its traditional counterpart.
From Bulloch County Docket Books to Digital Files
Bulloch County's court records run far deeper than its newest software. The county was created in 1796, and its first court sessions met in private homes. A wooden courthouse burned in 1864. The present courthouse rose in 1894. It gained porticos in 1914 and underwent restoration from 1998 to 2000. A Judicial Annex later took some of the load. Space had run short.
That past is why PeachCourt cannot stand in for the whole archive. Georgia Archives finding aids list chronological appearance dockets. The same aids cover civil and criminal bound books, execution dockets, and old justice-of-the-peace material. Plenty of it survives as paper, microfilm, or archival collections rather than a current image.
The clerk's official site is the modern doorway into that long record trail.

Online tools can point a docket search in the right direction, yet older Bulloch County material still calls for staff help and archival finding aids. The modern layer includes mandatory PeachCourt e-filing for Superior and State Court. It adds posted PDF calendars. There is also the clerk's 2025 JusticePath rollout for courtroom assignments, docket information, and notifications. These layers add to the record custodian's work. They do not fold every historic and lower-court filing into a single database.
Docket Records at the Clerk's Office
Heather Banks McNeal is the Clerk of Superior, State and Juvenile Court of Bulloch County. Her office holds those three record streams. Give her office every locating detail you can: a name, a case number, book and page when relevant, a clear description of the record, and your contact information. Requests sent by email are processed within 3–5 business days. Treat that as a processing time, not a promise that every item is on hand.

Bulloch County Copy Fees and Certification
A docket lookup and a request for document copies are two different asks. Ordinary copies run $0.50 per page on the clerk's current fee page. Certification costs $2.50 for the first page plus $0.50 for each additional page. Records needing hands-on work are billed at $1.00 per page. Oversized copies run $2.00 per page.
| Record service | Published amount |
|---|---|
| Regular copy | $0.50 per page |
| Certified copy | $2.50 first page, then $0.50 each additional page |
| Non-standard copy | $1.00 per page |
| Oversized copy | $2.00 per page |
| PeachCourt eAccess | Vendor terms list document, per-page, and convenience charges; verify at checkout |
Georgia eCertified Documents provides an account-based electronic certification option. For mailed or counter requests, confirm payment methods and the total before you send money. A plain portal image is not a clerk-certified copy, so present it accordingly.
Bulloch County Dockets Beyond the County Clerk
Not every Bulloch County docket sits with the elected county clerk. Probate Court at 2 North Main Street keeps estates, guardianships, conservatorships, and related probate files. Magistrate Court sits at 101 Oak Street. It handles civil claims up to $15,000, dispossessory and garnishment matters, warrants, and certain bond proceedings. Its eFileGA link is a filing channel only, not a verified public case search. Federal cases belong to the Southern District of Georgia's Statesboro Division. The courthouse sits at 52 North Main Street. The division is not always fully staffed, though. Case-information calls route to the Savannah Clerk's Office at 912-650-4020. Federal dockets are searched through PACER or the nationwide PACER Case Locator. Public access depends on federal fees and sealing rules. The practical rule: find the custodian first. County, city, probate, magistrate, and federal clerks cannot certify one another's files.
Bulloch County Court Dockets by City
The official 2020 Census compilation lists four incorporated municipalities in Bulloch County: Statesboro, Brooklet, Portal, and Register. Each runs a municipal court inside its own limits, so a city traffic ticket or ordinance case starts with that city's court channel. Statesboro and Brooklet post the clearest online paths. Portal and Register offer no current public docket-search page. Verify those directly with city hall or the court.

Map and Directions to the Bulloch County Judicial Annex
Superior, State, and Juvenile Court files are kept by the Clerk of Court at 20 Siebald Street, Statesboro, and Superior Court proceedings and jury service are held at the adjoining Judicial Annex. The clerk's jury page directs Superior jurors to the Jury Assembly Room on the annex's first floor. State Court and Probate Court use a separate courthouse cluster at 2 North Main Street, so confirm which building a specific case belongs to before heading downtown.

Everyone entering the Judicial Annex is screened, with bags x-rayed and a metal detector at the door; weapons, pepper spray, and similar items are prohibited, and cell phones and recording devices are barred from courtrooms without advance authorization. ADA parking is in the rear lot. The complex includes the original 1894 courthouse, altered in 1914, so early records may exist only as bound volumes or microfilm.
